Independence
Independence
What sweet taste is this?
Ah! It’s the taste of freedom’s bliss,
How we fought, to shape our thought.
This, with a major price, we have bought.
The arrogance of the white man,
He claims he has a burden,
A burden to educate,
But it is simply fake,
The greatest enemy of knowledge,
Is not ignorance,
It is the illusion of knowledge.
This was what formed the black man’s burden
We chased them out,
That’s how our country grew,
First it was a dying seedling,
And now it is a sprout,
A breeze of justice this country now blew,
Scars of misfeature were now healing.
Yet never forgotten,
This blood thirst helped shape our country,
Happiness was now is bales
People started again their jovial talks,
For this became the land where the sun sails,
And the moon walks!
