The Altruistic Wheat

The Altruistic Wheat

I see light and nature,
And realize that I am a creature of mortal nature.
As I rise tall, I see my brothers and sisters-
All taken care of by a group of misters.

As I grow tall and yellow-
My story becomes more mellow.
I am taken from my home-
Going from the known to the unknown.

I am given to another person,
I pray that I am not a victim of arson.
He reunites me with my brothers and sisters,
Isn't he an awful lot better than those misters ?

The misters started to clean me,
I felt the heat flowing around me with glee.
My branches are then mixed, three and three,
I got squashed by the greed of the human's reality.

People exchanged me, till I met this man,
For a few pieces of paper, I realized it was all a scam.
I tried to warn him that I was worth more,
But he was ignorant till his core.

The man takes me to his home,
It looked very much like a dome.
I was in my box, in the dark,
Until I heard the voice of a sweet lark.

The light has awakened,
And from my box I was taken.
I am massaged and put into a fireplace,

Everything starts turning into a blue haze.

Out of the fireplace,
No longer able to recognize my face.
The man decides to eat me and starts bending,
That's when I knew that my life was ending.

He starts eating,
I no longer feel my heart beating.
I saw a light in a distance,
And saw the dark figure of Death's stance.

The reaper asks, "Have you obtained what you seek?"
I answered, "Yes and thus, I have no reason to weep,
What I seek was the gift of a happening and altruistic life."
He reaped my soul; it was like bread being sliced by a knife.
